Dongpu Yellow Wine Town, where the base of Shaoxing Rongchuang Yellow Wine Parlor project is located, is situated in Shaoxing Jinghu New District, which is an important node connecting Keqiao and Yuecheng District, and is also the future urban center and development portal. As the landmark of the Yellow Wine Town, the Yellow Wine Parlor is adjacent to the main road Yexi Road and the subway station in the north, the ancient town style area in the west, and the Big Belly River and the Big Tree River in the south.

This project is designed by our company with curtain wall, and the exterior fa?ade is decorated with recycled bamboo and wood products, which is the first time for all parties involved in the project. In the selection of the main material, it took a long period of time to select and compare the samples. When the bamboo wood product was finally selected as the most suitable for this project, the process of installation design was started and the design and installation nodes were different from conventional curtain wall panels. Combined with the economy, the application of outdoor scenario parameters requirements, the selection of appropriate thickness, steel members to strengthen the strength of the panel, according to different parts of the back bolt and nailing connection process. During the implementation on site, we still encountered some troubles: the main steel structure had deformation, plus the thickness of the fireproof coating, which undoubtedly added to the original compact installation space. Bringing together the efforts of all parties to solve one by one!

The yellow wine culture has a long history in Shaoxing, how to give it a contemporary spirit and translate it through the building was the first test for the project team. The design uses Shaoxing yellow wine itself as a medium to connect tradition and modernity, and creates an elegant and fashionable atmosphere with an open experience commercial area, connecting the veins of time and space from different angles. The smooth and non-hierarchical spatial sequence is embedded with an immersive and energetic experience, making it a favorite place for young people.

The building is built on the waterfront and coexists with the waterfront space in a relatively subtle relationship. The gray space on the first floor connects the interior with the waterfront, blurring the boundary between the two. The expression of the identity of the place is derived from the traditional architecture of large woodwork, which is overlapped to form a space that accommodates a variety of activities and is both variable and adaptable.

The design language of the fa?ade is rich in locality, with white blockheads abstracted from the auxiliary traditional large woodwork and the addition of the element of branching windows often found in ancient Chinese Jiangnan architecture. The fa?ade is made of recycled bamboo, which is simple and friendly.
