On December 4, the project inspection team from CLASSICAL Construction Engineering Department conducted a specialized on-site inspection of the curtain wall construction project at the Lishui First People’s Hospital, currently under development. The inspection focused on safety production management and quality control during the construction process.

As a key provincial project in Zhejiang, the Lishui First People’s Hospital has garnered significant attention from the Lishui municipal government and local residents. It serves as a vital pillar for the development of local healthcare infrastructure. With a total investment of 2.9 billion yuan, the project covers a site area of 170 mu (approximately 11.33 hectares) and a total floor area of 277,600 square meters. Designed as a Grade III-A general hospital, it will feature 1,200 beds and integrate medical treatment, scientific research, education, translational medicine, prevention, and healthcare, aiming to become a comprehensive, aesthetically advanced, and functionally sophisticated medical institution.

The project is constructed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd. as the general contractor, while the curtain wall engineering is undertaken by Zhejiang CLASSICAL Construction Co., Ltd. At present, the main structure of the hospital has been completed, and CLASSICAL Construction’s curtain wall engineering has achieved 90% progress, now entering the final closure and finishing stages.

The on-site inspection mechanism for key projects is a critical component of CLASSICAL Construction’s engineering management strategy, serving as an essential measure to ensure effective control over ongoing projects. Through regular inspections at preliminary, intermediate, and final stages—alongside unannounced specialized audits—the company identifies potential issues early and implements timely corrective actions. Strict management protocols are enforced for safety and civilized construction, quality control, schedule adherence, and cost management, with immediate accountability mechanisms activated upon discovering deviations to ensure seamless project execution.

The Lishui First People’s Hospital project marks the first collaboration between CLASSICAL Construction and the state-owned China Construction Third Engineering Bureau. Both parties, driven by a shared commitment to winning the Luban Prize (China’s highest construction honor), meticulously planned and organized the project to create a high-quality medical facility that enhances local healthcare services. According to the inspection results, the curtain wall engineering has delivered satisfactory outcomes in quality, progress, and safety compliance. Given the project’s advanced stage and year-end deadlines, the inspection team prioritized reviewing elevated work safety, edge protection, electrical equipment compliance, and safety training. Through on-site assessments, document reviews, and worker interviews, the team affirmed the project’s achievements, and the Lishui First People’s Hospital Curtain Wall Project Department successfully passed the inspection.

Upon completion, the Lishui First People’s Hospital will significantly enhance urban functionality in Lishui Economic Development Zone, fostering a livable, industry-integrated urban area. It will provide accessible, high-quality healthcare services to residents across Lishui’s nine counties (districts) and drive the modernization of local medical standards, meeting public demand for advanced healthcare solutions.
